The Government of Malaysia (GoM) is desirous of developing a 1000 ton/day Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) treatment facility which is a Waste-to-Energy (WtE) plant, in order to supplement the existing treatment and disposal capacity within the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, which currently includes a waste recycling facility, waste transfer facility (transfer station) as well as a sanitary landfill.

The team was responsible for reviewing and the EPC Contractor’s processes and designs of the waste-to-energy plant to suit the local requirements, including local environmental and building codes.
