Detailed Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the Development of New Municipal Sanitary Landfill in KEJORA, Johor, Malaysia
An integrated team of specialists and technical experts conducted an Environmental Impact Assessment for the proposed new sanitary landfill of 180 acres for Lembaga Kemajuan Johor Tenggara (KEJORA).
The study was conducted using primary as well as secondary data, in order to study the existing baseline conditions of the proposed site and its zone of impact, identify potential environmental as well as social impacts, and adequately address the adverse impacts through the recommendation of suitable mitigation measures and Best Management Practices (BMPs), to ensure the sanitary landfill is designed and operated with minimal effects to the environment.
